Un Patchouli Eau de Parfum 100ml

Patchouli enveloped in sandalwood; the past softened by the passage of time. The first imposes its harsh, autumnal, damp and leafy notes. The second, which is drier and rounder, balances out this woody harmony. The essence of cade joins them, revealing itself in a halo of smoke, all the more to bewitch them.
This exotic leaf, which reached our noses via the Silk Road, captivated the bourgeoisie of the nineteenth century just as much as it did the hippies of the twentieth. Patchouli evokes a longing for faraway places, for the exotic and for mystery. The very essence of paradoxes, its heady, rounded notes—enriched by tonka bean, sandalwood and tolu balm—manage to reconcile rebellion with the ‘establishment’. Never earthy, it is reminiscent of the dry leaves of the shrub, like the sumptuous silks that carried its sweet, heady scent.
Top notes: Venezuelan tonka bean absolute.
Heart notes: pure patchouli oil from Indonesia, Virginia cedar, Australian sandalwood.
