Before tanning, the hides are split in two; the upper layer is from water-tanned lambskin, which is a smooth leather. Light-thickness leathers are very light and airy. They’re so comfortable, they feel just like a second skin.Care advice: Maison Stouls subjects its leathers to a high-quality treatment, meaning they can be machine-washed under certain conditions. Please refer to the labels.
Run a wash cycle with no load to remove any detergent or bleach residue that might stain your leather. Wash the item on its own, in cold water, on a short, gentle cycle, using a small amount of mild liquid detergent, in the detergent drawer of your washing machine. Remove your garment immediately at the end of the cycle, lay it flat to dry, and iron it inside out on a low heat. Never wash your garment by hand.
With every wash, your item will fade; to keep it in good condition, have it cleaned by a leather specialist.
